February 5th The Fang
The Fang is a free standing ice pillar that is usually thinner than this or non-existent. On lead, Mike O'Donnell soon discovered that climbing the fang was a great way to get a cold shower. There was lots of water dripping down the front side which soon encrusted his helmet and jacket with ice. Better than his face and the back of his neck which were soaked as well, quite exhilarating.

Time to go home.
